Awesome campsite! We stayed 2 nights under the big tree right on the beach. Great showers, friendly staff and a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Wind can get a little strong, our tent stood strong through. Also the sunset is gorgeous and the location is good if you’re wanting to explore the Coromandel

Tapu Camp has a fantastic atmosphere with great people and clean, functional facilities. We love it because it’s located near stellar fishing spots, a fresh water swimming hole and beaches. Plus, having the pub directly across the road for dine-in or takeaway meals, a game of pool, or darts, makes Tapu Camp great for our weekend getaways.

One of the best parts about our stay at Tapu Camp was the waterfront location and waking up to sea views. I’d recommend Tapu Camp for an affordable weekend away in a great spot.

This has been one of our favourite campsites! It was very quiet and not windy at all, which we’ve come to really appreciate! Great place!

Best value for money! Brilliant site overlooking the sea! Everything you need; power, water, kitchen, hot showers and toilet. Make sure you have a chat to Gavin for a good ol laugh! Top bloke who has plenty of suggestions.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff were very friendly and facilities were very clean. Hot showers 50 cents with very good water pressure!

Super friendly people, great location. Warm showers for 50 cents and a kitchen where you can recharge everything. They went all out to help us.

Very busy at this time of year but they found us a site on the beachfront. Lovely where the river meets the sea. Small kitchen but clean.

Nice campground! And really nice owner! Funny, very friendly! The kitchen is maybe small but enough for cooking and baking.
